I agree.. many open ended games like his that cant have a normal demo have been doing this .. sims 3 pets released a pet creation tool as a demo .. saints row 3 released their character creation tool ..but I doubt this will happen .. meh .. something for them to think about when fallout 4 comes out

Don't forget Dragon Age Origins also released a char creating kit before release. I would have loved a Skyrims cc kit, i like to create different kinds of characters and it would save me the 30 minutes or more i intend on spending when it releases!

Gothic 4 released a demo, it was only a small island with small quests.Skyrim could do that for console users but would be a waste of time, do we really need a demo to see if the game´s worthy? x)

Character creation isn't even -that- in depth this time around. Would have rather they release the working Creation Kit sans content.

I'm starting to get your "Devil's Advocate" title

Maybe some people just like to argue ;]

But I think it would have been great to have the character creation as a demo...and unlike Fatalmasterpiece says, I think it'll still be rather deep. Just because we can't make a character that looks like a retarded, mutilated gourd with every STD known to man doesn't mean it isn't deep...just more refined. Aka, NOT Facegen.

I think there are less options in SKyrim chargen, I'm pretty sure that is quite miss leading though. A lot of Facegens options were quite gimped. Faces look better now, for all races. Oh and beards

what I am wondering about is if the chargen in the CK will have as much ability as Obs does.

Judging by what Bethesda has improved upon from Oblivion to Skyrim, partly by inspiration of mods, I don't doubt that the Creation Kit will expound even more on its versatility, and in this case, I think chargen will be awesome to tweak with. Perhaps more of a somewhat "educated guess" or hope more than anything.

There going to be a demo? I'm anxious to "test" the game....... :psyduck:

you're a sucker for punishment, that would be like giving a raging alcoholic a single shot glass of beer to sustain him for a week. It won't be much longer before Skyrim is unleashed upon the world.

Either way you look at it Skyrim has less morphing options than previous titles. To create a unique character and be given the full breadth of options you will have to use the kit. The matter of stock/base characters looking better from the get go is irrelevant.
