StuykGaming
I know that Bethesda released a set of tools for 3DS Max to export models. HOWEVER. It is only for 3DS Max 2013. Whoopie. I don't have a copy of the old version of 3DS Max and neither does any torrent site in existence. So is there an alternate method to export models with proper collision and get them into the game? Perhaps another program? Another plugin? The resources are super spotty right now and google is definitely NOT helping. Things that need to work for me to move on:- Can export a model- Can apply heavily accurate collision models Anyone? Ethreon
Someone over at beth said they requested their educational license for 2014 and up to be extended to 2013 and received it. Try that ?

TrickyVein
I've been using this plugin for Max since December of last year. It does not support exporting collision, however. Only Beth's tools do that, as far as I know. That's not to give the impression that Beth's exporter supports heavily accurate collision models, either. I did try it but the issue being that I seriously need collisions for the models. After all, we're dealing with flooring, walls, roofing, etc.
Ethreon
I use that to make the models in 2016 and import as fbx (dunno why 2013 won't accept opening 2013 files saved from 2016), then import in 2013's MAX, make collision etc.
StuykGaming
So can Figments plugin be used to create Collisions or am I kidding myself?
TrickyVein
I don't think so. Only Bethesda's plugin comes with 64 bit havok tools. Maybe these can be jury rigged to work with the other max plugin, but I haven't tried.
StuykGaming
That's frustrating. I'd really like to start modding again but if the state of the tools aren't very user friendly then I don't know what I'm going to do. Especially since I can't get Beth's tools to work right out of the box. Pretty much do nothing but throw errors for me.
Ethreon
Did you follow the install to the letter? They're not really joking about that. You also have to pass all files you made in 2013 thru Elric.exe, or they'll be useless.
