Diso
So I've read that steam will unlock Skyrim on 00:00 for each individual time zone. Which means if I go options in steam and set my timezone to Japan it means the game will unlock 6 hours earlier, RIGHT? Which means I will be able to play it on Thursday November 10th on 06:00 o clock in the evening!?!!?!?! ( if preloaded ) RIGHT!??!? Namatacka
Wait and see, not long now. What more is 6-7 more hours if it doesn't unlock at 6pm? ;)
ub3rman123
I get the feeling that Steam knows where you live already.

antonkr
I get the feeling that Steam knows where you live already.Yup, you might have to get a proxy for this. Which may not really be a good idea.
Diso
I get the feeling that Steam knows where you live already. Yes but you can change that in the options of Steam, and its easy to change the timezone to Japan on your computer if thats what you're coming at. Namatacka
Don't use a proxy -- if Steam catches you, they won't be happy. Is it worth it?
ValugaTheLord
Don't use a proxy -- if Steam catches you, they won't be happy. Is it worth it? It's not against the rules to use Proxy servers at least it wasn't last time I checked.
Diso
Dude forget about the proxy, what I'm saying is the following. Check this out, I found this post on the internet. ------- "It seems Pete Hines posted another tweet indicating the game will unlock at 12:01am in each individual time zone.http://twitter.com/#!/DCDeacon/statu…10428202360832I have never heard of Steam doing something like that with dozens of different unlock times, so it seems more likely that it will turn out to be 12:01am EST. This was precisely the time that RAGE unlocked (12:01am EST / 9:01pm PST for US/Canada). However, I suppose it is also possible Bethesda made some sort of unprecedented special arrangement with Valve to have the Skyrim unlock at 12:01am in every individual time zone, as indicated in the subsequent tweet above." ------- Now back to what I want to do, it's the following: 1. Change the download server to Japan and 2. Change region to Japan. its really not that hard. ( Check out the attached picture ) if needed I can even change the timezone on my Windows platform. This will cause steam to think that I live in japan, which will ultimatly lead to a six hours difference. Normally I'd be able to play it on 00:00 thursday November 10th but with this event I'll probably shift it back to 18:00 thursday 10th November so ( 6 o clock in the evening ). -Yes a 6 hours difference does matter. Cingen
I just found out it apprently isn't a midnight release in Belgium, if the steam countdown is correct it'll be around 9 in the morning here, pretty bummed out now cause I won't have internet access for some days starting from friday morning.. :/
