From the recommended specs posted by BGS:

Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)

Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU processor

4GB System RAM

6GB free HDD space

DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM: Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon 4890 or higher

DirectX compatible sound card

Internet access for Steam activation

I would assume yes.

4 cores? I want it to make full use of my i7! I didn't get it for nothing! :psyduck:

Well, most i7s are quad core, so you probably don't have anything to worry about.

While the 970 and and above use six cores, I'm sure Bethesda, developing the game in a multi-core world (unlike Oblivion), have it pretty well optimized to where you'll get additional benefit if you do have above 4 cores.
