Stormcrown
There are many cd key shops claiming that you can activate games earlier by using VPN's and proxies. They sell the games at considerably lower prices than USA prices, like €18.95 compared to $59.99 USA. I'm not even tempted to do such a thing, as I already pre-ordered my collectors edition and such from gamestop...but are these websites legit? I hear a lot of conflicting reviews. My personal policy is that if you have to ask, it's not legit. Anyone thinking of doing it to get the game a few days early...I'd really consider rethinking it. Gishank
All of them are illegitimate, as they are unauthorised resellers. Although they may provide you with the key, you have no garauntee that the key isn't stolen and won't come around and bite you in the arse at some point in the future. Stormcrown
As I thought. I just know that people will do crazy things to get the game 2 days early, and wanted to reassure myself among others :P
superjeno
It's hard to resist, but i don't want my steam account to get banned and lose the full four games on it... with skyrim 10 times more important than the others...
Delikatessen
No, it's not. Steamworks games have never been released on non-Steam networks except for a couple special cases. Most of these places you can buy CD Keys from are jokes, anyway.

Dark0ne
The CD keys are legit (normally), it's the early activation stuff that isn't. The CD key stores work by buying in bulk, for much less than you pay normally, and then simple selling the keys inside the disks.
