Deleting Comments

For both the comments section (in the comments tab) and the separate discussion threads (in the discussion tab), there should be a button on the top right corner of the post:

Hopefully that helps.

Edit: I think the posts are actually hidden, so that the staff will still see them. And on the forum side thread, I think they might still be visible. Or might not. I am not sure. You can test it with your own comments. :P

They won't still be visible on the forum side either, that much is sure. You hide them, they're gone, and from both sides. But yes, nothing's really ever deleted, but once hidden by you only staff can see them anymore.

Coming to think of it, I'm not quite sure, but it could be some of the author moderation tools will still require you to first be a part of the (recognized) mod authors group, by reaching a certain number of unique downloads in sum of all your mods for a game. But like I said, I don't know if that's the case for this feature as well here.

Yea I don't have any delete button, unfortunately! I don't know how to put a picture, but there is no option for me to delete any comments!

So basically your saying I can't use the delete feature until I am recognized by the collective, by having a crap ton of downloads?

There's no such requirement that your mods need to have a lot of downloads to have access to mod author tools (including the moderation tools).

The delete functionality is only available to mod authors who have access to the private forum. You get this access, along with the perks, when you hit 1,000 unique downloads across all your files (e.g. 10 files with 100 UDL each will get you access, the same as one file with 1,000 UDL).
