No assignable keyboard shortcuts?? WTF!?

can anyone link to this manual? i saw this on IGN just now and i'm still pissed about it.

granted we have the new favorites menu but i want to bind those favorites to 1-8, or better yet include 9 and 0 for once.

Also, i watched the IGN PC gameplay: http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/11/10/skyrim-pc-gameplay-commentary?objectid=93395&show=HD and noticed the EXACT SAME UI as the consoles, just with a mouse. What happened to the whole UI changes for the PC?

not a deal breaker, i mean i'm going to still buy the game and love it, but i'm kinda hating the console UI, as beautiful as it looks, for the PC we deserved something better.

i think it won't matter for the game, it'll just assign it to a slot... who cares if your axe is in your left or right hand anyway :-)

but yeah, look at the terrible quality screenie i posted somewhere here... http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/286552-skyrim-information/page__st__7400 ... there it is

and it says 1-8 is item hotkeys... clearly.... in dutch but it's there

yup says right there, so i guess theres nothing really to worry about. the IGN guys must of just not known how to do it.

alt as sprint is so dumb. going to be moving that to shift first thing.

Yeah, i just got confirmation that the hotkeys do work, but also a confirmation that the UI is absolutely terrible.

WASD to navigate, no mouse support :(

in the IGN video they show the mouse moving all around the menu and using it for everything, though yes it is still built for a stick/wasd. maybe it's a setting you have to turn on for mouse menus.

yeah heres the link: http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/11/10/skyrim-pc-gameplay-commentary?objectid=93395&show=HD

you can see it mayn times in the video that the whole UI can be controlled with the mouse, and we have a couple bonuses. when looking at the perk trees you can use the mouse to just click on a star and go there instead of having to move all the way around. seems like you can use the scroll wheel in menus, but really thats the the only things i noticed. still a console UI.
