neok182
can anyone link to this manual? i saw this on IGN just now and i'm still pissed about it. granted we have the new favorites menu but i want to bind those favorites to 1-8, or better yet include 9 and 0 for once. Also, i watched the IGN PC gameplay: http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/11/10/skyrim-pc-gameplay-commentary?objectid=93395&show=HD and noticed the EXACT SAME UI as the consoles, just with a mouse. What happened to the whole UI changes for the PC? not a deal breaker, i mean i'm going to still buy the game and love it, but i'm kinda hating the console UI, as beautiful as it looks, for the PC we deserved something better. Lyanheart
Another member here pointed out that assigning weapons/spells to number keys would have the extra issue of "which hand to assign the weapon/spell" when you press the key. Hadn't thought about that, myself, but I'm sure there is a way to make it work.
Cabezone
NWN handled this type of handedness with hotkeys just fine...like 10 years ago. You just dropped into the hotkey slot what you wanted for each hand. Edited November 10, 2011 by Cabezone
superjeno
i think it won't matter for the game, it'll just assign it to a slot... who cares if your axe is in your left or right hand anyway :-)but yeah, look at the terrible quality screenie i posted somewhere here... http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/286552-skyrim-information/page__st__7400 ... there it is and it says 1-8 is item hotkeys... clearly.... in dutch but it's there
anandus
Yeah, i just got confirmation that the hotkeys do work, but also a confirmation that the UI is absolutely terrible.WASD to navigate, no mouse support :(
Lyanheart
In the videos, you can see the guy clicking objects and names in the menus to navigate the lists and skill trees.

neok182
Guess so, because that's a complaint I heard. yeah heres the link: http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/11/10/skyrim-pc-gameplay-commentary?objectid=93395&show=HD you can see it mayn times in the video that the whole UI can be controlled with the mouse, and we have a couple bonuses. when looking at the perk trees you can use the mouse to just click on a star and go there instead of having to move all the way around. seems like you can use the scroll wheel in menus, but really thats the the only things i noticed. still a console UI.
