Lyanheart
The "console" UI in Skyrim basically sucks for PC... OK maybe sucks is a strong word but it's certainly not made with the PC in mind. How many modders are already hatching plans for a better UI? Maybe a few people can work together on this and get us a PC-optimized UI that we can be proud of. It's kinda sad when the reviews and videos of the PC version voice the UI as their biggest complaint.
Beestonian
Needs hotkeys, and then will be a little more PC-esque. We have all of this keyboard real estate and we have to duck and weave around it as though it was a console. But then whoever will design the hotkey system will have to somehow deal with the left right mouse click differentiation, especially when it comes to which weapon you want to poison or on which hand you want to equip an item. Perhaps you can hold the button that an item is hotkeyed to, and if it has a hand assignable value like a spell or a shield or single handed weapon, then let the left or right trigger dictate it respectively. If not, then automatically equip it. I think the item type attribute will be hardwired into the items itself, so perhaps our volunteer coder can draw from that item variable to create the if clause. Don't mind me, just thinking aloud.
Vortaka
I'm all in for the hotkeys! (No hotkeys from what I read). But, since I haven't played it yet, I cannot talk against the UI! Note: Hotkeys are there... Seems SOMEONE (else them me) doesn't know how to use favorites and the "Q" key... Don't know if you can link a dual weild but, since you cannot block with the second weapon, a shield will be fine!) SaturnFX
Just a really crisp and pc oriented ui is good enough...make the horrible ariel font take up a little bit on top verses half your screen, etc...and change the damned font to something a bit more immersive...god, whomever chose that font should be slapped. no doubt many clever modders are already sketching out a much more crisp and clean interface/hud. Such things are usually top priority.
briarme
I'm seconding this. The PC UI is terrible. I've been playing with a gamepad because it was so aggravating. I have no idea what's possible and what isn't for modders, but I suggest somebody figure out a way to get rid of the damned radial menus. Or at least make scrolling through them via the scroll wheel a viable option.

Vaedian
This UI is worse than Oblivion ever was! God, why does Bethesda suck so much at PC's. Please, please dear modders... save us from this disaster! Edited November 11, 2011 by Vaedian
JimboUK
It really is awful, I honestly can't think of any game that has one worse.
luthienanarion
The game was intended to be played with a 360 controller, and the UI reflects that. It's not that hard to navigate the menus with WASD, and you'll get used to not clicking things.
