CyrusAmell
We finally have Fallout 4's newest DLC up for Pre-Order on Steam: Nuka-Cola World. As expected: We will go to a new local centering around an old theme park. Unexpected: We now get the option to lead a Raider Gang, perhaps even back to the Commonwealth! Here you go, everyone who wanted to role-play Immortan Joe from the new Mad Max movie. Additionally, the DLC will be even cheaper than Far Habor ($25 > $20). Which is strange because the devs had said it would be bigger. So what gives? As for the all new Raider faction we get to join, I find myself conflicted. Sure, it is interesting to flesh out one of the center-piece minor factions of the Fallout universe (in this case Raider). However, what settlements would we be conquering exactly? The one's we made already? Or do we now get to go into Diamond City and run the place? Also, can someone get a link up for the Steam page because my copy and paste tools are not working. CiderMuffin
I love the idea, especially since it seems like it's not only becoming a raider overlord but sounds like it's essentially a fifth new path for the main story. I may be reading into it too much but it sounds a lot of fun.
Deleted35607895User
I hope that it can begin right as you start a new game, right as you walk into Concord. Perhaps a Raider is scouting the Red Rocket, and says whatever it is to get you to join their gang. I would accept (possibly) that you can only "take over" other raider 'settlements' in Nuka World, but that seems so much less than it ought to be. If you could start right from the beginning, you could eventually go to Ten Pines and demand they turn the place into a raider camp. "I'll be back to ensure you comply! By the way, thanks for the tatos. All of them. Before the first snow, see?" That sort of thing. Of course, that would mean the Minutemen aren't going to be friendly. Finally. I hope it is this way. I don't have much hope though. Edited June 21, 2016 by Guest
RattleAndGrind
I am conflicted about this DLC. My kneejerk response to Raiders is to center them in the crosshairs and squeeze. I do not know if I want to become one, even if I can later get out of it. But then there is that old saw; "You become what you hate".
snapper69
Looks like fun, but I agree, I'm not sure that I want to become something that I've spent so much time killing.
CyrusAmell
I thought the devs said that Nuka-World would be bigger than Far Harbor. My question is why then is it only $20? It's possible that they will be using less newly made assets which could have driven the costs of production down. It will be interesting to see what the finished product is like. Deleted35607895User
The Raiders will probably just be a faction, which you can join, kill or ignore.
RS13
"Use them to conquer settlements." I just became a lot more interested in settlements.
