rukenninjai
Ok, So I'm having a problem with textures and terrain disappearing and reappearing while moving around Sanctuary Hills and only Sanctuary Hills. I thought it might be a mod, so I tried disabling them all and starting off fresh, same thing. So I uninstalled it and deleted my entire Fallout 4 Folder except for my save games. With a fresh install, (That sucks because its steam and I had to download it damn it) and my Nexus mods enabled it was working fine no game crashes for around 2 hours of game play. I went and installed a mod off the Bethesda Mod list and BOOM...crash on almost every start up. I am not happy and I am now a true believer aside from the Mod theft, Bethesda's mod support was the worst thing to happen to Modding...I am a console gamer also somewhat and I think they should go kick rocks. If you want to mod build or buy a gaming PC other wise go get bent....I am not happy...I have never had a crash issue with Skyrim or any of my other Fallout Games other then OS compatibility problems that once walked around were fixed. CiderMuffin
Ok what mod did you download? You do realize crashing is standard stuff when modding a game right? Not every mod is compatible with each other and most likely it's the fault of the mod and not the service.

Mods usually don't cause crashes on their own if the author isn't careless. Edited June 16, 2016 by noahdvs

Hell, Trainwiz's Wheels of Lull had a big bug that would cause game instability and crashing after the final boss for a loooooooong time. Like the idea that a single mod can't crash a game is pretty wrong and in my time of modding from Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas, skyrim and Fallout 4 I've seen a single mod cause a lot of problems with a game. It's rare but it does happen and it is possible. Edited June 16, 2016 by CiderMuffin

Obviously, a single mod can cause a crash, but FO4 has been surprisingly stable with mods. 99% of the time for me, a crash has been the result of a bad mod combination. Mboatenhamer
There also a restriction on using a modded save in Fallout 4. No achievements and other stuff are disabled for using any mod from nexus or Bethesda.net Edited June 16, 2016 by Mboatenhamer

No achievements and other stuff are disabled for using any mod from nexus or Bethesda.net That's old news and there's a mod to get achievements with mods back. No achievements and other stuff are disabled for using any mod from nexus or Bethesda.net That's less of a big deal because achievements are %100 useless. I thought it might be a mod, so I tried disabling them all and starting off fresh, same thing. This part of your problem is probably due to having deleted something in Sanctuary that was not meant to be deleted (by Beth) and therefore wasn't rendered with it not being there. To test this simply open your console and type TPC (toggle preculling) and see if the symptom goes away. If it does then it was what I had mentioned. If it doesn't then the problem lies elsewhere. In either case, type TPC again before leaving town as this can really degrade performance in other parts of the map.
zanity
Before modding went live on the Xbone, everyone expected Beth was going to restrict and curate console mods to an extreme degree- and the no.1 reason was to prevent crashes and faulty gameplay on consoles. No matter how low one's expectations of Beth, Beth always manages to defy the odds and do worse. So against expectations, console mods are a swampy free-for-all, and all Beth cares about is getting Beth.net past the experimental stage, and ready for paid mods in the near future. To this end, the more mods (faulty or not) on Beth.net, the better. The BEST hope for console modders would be a much more useful forum feature on Beth.net, where mod feedback WARNS potential modders against troublesome mods. Of course, this pre supposes console gamers are wise over greedy, and will turn down a 'tasty' sounding mod if feedback is clearly negative.
