Esteris
I am not a modder, but I can't help but be curious - what does the "15k Modding Challenge" mean? Sorry for asking a possibly n00b question :ermm:

PaladinRider
Yup deadline is in 1 month and you don't have a CK to work with yet. FWIW I would look into that company and the rules/terms of the contest a little bit closer. There has been a big discussion about them and a lot of less than desirable things have come to light about them Edited November 11, 2011 by PaladinRider
obliviron
The rules and terms are clear. What discussion? It took me around 2 days of ~8 hours to create terrain in Oblivion's CK.This one shall not be much different.
Esteris
Ah yes, I just saw that on MMOC. Afaik Curse is rather official and professional. Scamming people they'd lose much more than they can gain, I think, because many would forfeit their premium memberships. It should be fine, although I never digged deeper into it, so I do not know what PaladinRider is speaking of.
JimboUK
These people are looking to profit off the work of modders, why encourage them?

sesom
Curse is sponsoring a competition for 15,000 - that's why. Back to the topic, I am looking for a partner. You will never see 15k it's 500 max for a large quest mod. If I think abut how many man hours have gone in my mods for FO3 and NV then this 500 is simply nothing. Compared to my normal work it would mean a maximum of 1 1/2 day modding days. That's laughable! Now you want to have teammates to split this 500? There won't be much left in the end. They simply try to buy some modders with this competition and make a lot of noise with 15k to get attention. But in my opinion they are playing cheap. I have seen what happend in the Sims 3 modding community with such firms. It doesn't help modding at all. Look what money did to the Sims community, do you really want that repeated here?
