FalconPunch2
Hi, So I actually have two different issues, but i think they're related. When I start up Oblivion, I can't actually get into the game. It's permanently minimised and i can see it going in the little windows 7 pop up, but i cannot interact with it in any way. This happened when i was playing it a few weeks ago and my computer crashed mid way through. I've tried doing a clean install several times and nothing works. I was ok with this, cause Skyrim would be coming out soon. But now, when i get into Skyrim, the game exits before the menu shows up. I can just slightly see the menu options appear before it exits. I'm not sure if they are related, but if anyone can help with either, please do :)

xaliqen
Did you make sure to move your Steam install to a folder outside of Program Files? See the link here.
FoolyFooly
But now, when i get into Skyrim, the game exits before the menu shows up. I can just slightly see the menu options appear before it exits. I'm not sure if they are related, but if anyone can help with either, please do :) The fix is to buy the game and not download it.
