Boombro
So someone tells you a game is bad and you stop having fun? What? You still have fun with bad games, and get bored with great games. I know some flaws with Fo4, but it does shine to me in some places so i still play it.
credozero
"A hoot from start to finish"- funny how that reads just like a quote on the poster for some mega-expensive 'blockbuster' movie that every critic has warned is a total TURKEY. Well I had no expectations going in, maybe that's why? - and I enjoyed more or less every second. It didn't OMG *blow me* away, but I finished it rather than getting "meh" about it after a week like I have with a few games over the last year. credozero
It sounds tome like you need a 'time out'. Perhaps you should read a book or discover girls. Not necessarily in that order. The Rabbit Oh I get it, you are suggesting I should read more and do the sex - like those are pursuits that would give me a more balanced world view and then I could come back here afterwards and then i'd be cooler! The implication being that I am not a reader and don't know how my dick works. THAT'S SOME AWESOME BURN! You sure showed me, I got schooled - teach me to go posting on the internet huh? Gruffydd
The only game I've played in recent years that was "a hoot from start to finish" was Saints Row 4.I thoroughly enjoyed FO4, though. I liked the main questline, I liked exploring the factions and deciding which I could get behind, and which, after second thought, weren't a good idea to have joined. I really enjoyed poking around in the wilderness, and finding little stories spread around throughout the game world with no arrow pointing to them, no quest forcing me into them, but still telling a humorous, compelling, or downright tragic tale. Was it perfect? No. No game is. Was it lots of fun? Yes, and even more so with some mods added.
greentea101
Not saying that any defensive post in the name of Beth on the Nexus falls into this category, but I struggle to imagine how even the biggest fan of FO4 would praise it with such a phrase- the game experience is almost NEVER a 'hoot' because of the lazy (very very very lazy) writing, and 'to finish' suggests it is fun and satisfying to push the main quest to completion. I'd describe it as "a hoot", mainly because I don't care about the story, and mostly just appreciate the mechanics of the game. I enjoy it as a highly modifiable shooter game with RPG progression mechanics (I like to think of my way of playing "wasteland safari", as Mr. Tenpenny put it in FO3). I even enjoy the settlement building, to an extent. If I want story, I play the Witcher 3 (I've started playing the Blood and Wine expansion, and it's pretty amazing). I'm just saying, it's very possible to enjoy the game, especially if you mod it (for me, War Of The Commonwealth is essential, among other mods). Whether I'm part of a minority or not, I wouldn't know, although I doubt it. Edited June 17, 2016 by greentea101

That was an intentional spelling error to make my rant seem more authentic.* *Total lie, I screwed up and make a spelling error in the damn TITLE. It doesn't say "noob" over my name for no reason.
