Then consider this an Alpha. The Beta will come when everything is ready for the beginnings of scripting and questing. Meaning: once everything is built, and all of the NPC's have been made and have schedules. By the way, where has Naminea gone?

Flying Enemies could be faked, if a invisible Floor is possible. Player is standing in the City, on the Edge is a little Fence sothe PC wont walk to his death. If he jumps ove the Fence, he dies, because behind the Fence would be a Gap.

Floating in the Air is a invisible Floortile with invisible Fences just high enough so Creatures cant walk over it. Creatures wont jump.

Put some Imps on the invisible Thing so it would seem the Imps actually fly.

This Imps could support the Main Battle Group. Either they are magically transported there or the City is forced to land or, another Idea; You could use one of the Skyships mentioned earlier. Just use a normal Ship, I'll think of something to explain why it flies. Probably by stolen Magic Items, stolen Magic Technology from the Dwemer (Dwarfs who would use magic and Machinery wont be exactly Malacaths Favorites) or something.

A Sip is big enough for quite some Enemies to Storm out of it.

Once, i came up with an idea how Dragons came into the World.

Basically, Malacath created them so they could scorch the weak.

Akatosh imbued the Dragons with pity for the weak. Malacath was furios with his Creations since they betrayed him. Dragons where hunted down for their former Misdeeds, until one Man realized the Dragons werent "evil" anymore.

Triforce had an Idea for the Backstory. Well, this was in a time where the City was to be situated in a Lake, I'll edit it properly =)

He gave them shelter and protected them as good as he could, telling People that these Dragons arent evil. He did amass some Followers, which helped to protect these Dragons.

But their numbers dwindled, so the Man prayed to Akatosh. Akatosh marked this man as the first Dragon Master, and bade him go forth to where "the light touches the earth. There he will find a place of peace and protection."

"Light touches the Earth" was supposed to be a Metaphore for a Comet crashing in Cyrodiil. In the Craterlake on top of the Cratermountain the City would be.

Well, a flying City is the Place where Sunlight touches Earth first.

The Dragonmaster and his Party searched for many onths, until they found a Point in Blackwood, where the Sun in its zenit couldnt be seen for a minute, as if it where hidden.

The Dragonmaster rode a Dragon up in the Sky and found this City, which he would call "Dragon city" from this day on.

This Backstory would be to be very old. Millenia before Nedic Visitors came to Akavir and saw the Akaviri Dragons. "Our" Dragons could be related to the Akaviri Dragons, who are now believed to be extinct.

"Our" Dragons could be ascendants of the Vvardenfell Dragons, who where overrun by Cliffracers and supposedly moved West near Cyrodiil.

I like the Akaviri Dragons better. "Our" Dragons could be ascendants of those. Originally created by Malacath, then hunted down near extinction, the Akaviri Dragons could be descendants of Malacaths Creations who managed to flee (to the east across the Big Sea) and survived.

Daedric Princes can somehow "miss" their Targets, Modryn Oreyn is the best example =)

Now, we have a City here.

Triforce came up with an Idea how the People came up with a military use of the Dragons.

Malacath tried to finish the Dragons and their protectors off. An Oblivion Gate opend up in the City. The Dragonmaster assembled his most trustet Friends, six Men and six Women, mounted the Dragons and literally roasted them alive.

This is a nice liitle hero story which pits a few people against an Army of Ogres.

The Group where thenafter called "the Dragonriders" and swore an Oath to Akatosh that they will always protect the Dragons and the City.

When the Player starts the Mod, the Citizens of the Dragoncity have lived in Peace for quite some time.

A Dragonrider will follow the Player to give him or her a Message:

The Dragonmaster is disappeared and presumed dead. Akatosh has lead the Rider to the Playerchar.

The Dragonrider is not sure if you are up to the Task of being Akatoshs chosen Dragonmaster, so he sends you to the Akatosh Shrine outside the Imperial City, where Akatosh says: "Give me Currywurst!" No wait...

Akatosh gives you an Amulet and a Spell to summon a Dragon. The Dragonrider wich was still following you (not really, otherwise he could be misused as a cheap Companion :D) pops out behind a Tree, amazed that Akatosh trusts you. He points out that this Amulet looks like the one back in the Dragoncity, which you have no Idea what it is yet.

A Questmarker comes up,leading to the Top of the White Gold Tower.

This would be quite hard to do, as you would have to make it possible for the Player to go up there, without tcl=)

A Dragon flying to the Big Tower in the Middle of the Ic would take the "legendary" from the Dragons.

Lets take "Dive Rock" instead. Nobody would care about the ramblings about a Dragon from that Bum at Aerins Camp.

You must use the spell to summon a dragon <this dragon will ( I hope) be gold if your fame is higher, and black if your infamy is higher. If even, it will be gold> You fly up there, go inside, and read the journal on the desk. It kind of outlines things for you <I've already made that place and book, download it from TES nexus. It is called Dragons Roost. Oh yeah, dragon not included>

The PC would fly where the Dragon takes him, or better yet, he would zone to the City. After zoning, he finds himself next to the Dragon and a Door, which he is supposed to enter.

Inside, theres a Desk with the Book on it.

After reading it, the Player will go outside after being bored inside or after a Questmarker pops up and tells him to, there e will see the Dragonrider from before who claims that the really be blessed by akatosh.

Middle Part: Gap.

Here are to be some Quests and Missions for the PC to do, after which he would gain the Trust and Friendship of the Dragonriders and the Citizens of the City.

End Part: Malacath tries the Siege again. After the PC has fought off Ogres and/or other Creatures, he is called "Dragonmaster".

Hey im just checking in with my progress on the excavation thing. Im going to make two diffrent areas. An entrance and then the large room. Because of the diffrent styles in arcatacure I didnt want the transition to be quick for one room. Also i am including misc chest and barrels that will be filled with something, im not sure yet. The other perpose of the entrace was to get the idea that people had to dig to find this area. If there is any thing you want in the rooms, THAT IS RELAVANT TO THE MOD, please PM me or post your ideas.

Maybe make the floating city's origin to:

- It was a ruin caused by a comet, which means that part of the comet itself is mechanized to have some sort of functions. When the Hero went and somehow activated the comet's function, the ruin was lifted off of the earth and it became a flying city.

- The core of the flying city is a crystal, in place of what used to be the comet. It will seem like it transmuted itself when it got activated.

I think I already explained the city's origin. It involves Ayleid magic, vengence, and the Dwemer. Look back over the past few pages and you'll find it.

Here's a new screen of the city. I am happy to say that it is about half done. New additions include fixed missing textures, some spruced up bits around the living area, the prison/guards quarters under the palace, and the bridge to and walls around the nature preserve. The interior has not been created yet.
