Dragon City Mod

Ok, I've set up a free web domain at freehosting, we can use the space that would be otherwise used for a website as a realy cheap (free ;D) ftp server. PM me for the loggin info.

We've only got 50 megs though, and the bandwidth wasn't mentioned. So you better use it wisely. Should be enough until you/we can wipe up the few dollars to build something normal lol ;D.

Other than the city and dragon stuff, how will you do the shop keeping and item lists? You will then need to work on The city's daily npc scripts and probably some other stuff too.

It would be nice to have special blue flames used as lanterns or torches.

As for guards, how to you think they will be done?

Also, this is just out of curiosity, maybe implement some kind of sky diving fun? You ARE on top of a floating city so why not?

Hmmm, skydiving... Sounds like new animations, new scripts, new hassles we don't really need...How about this; I'll tell you what I tell everyone else with an idea like this. If you make it and can get it to work, we'll put it in. As far as me attempting to build it, I have other more crucial things to do. It isn't that I don't support your creativity, I just don't think the amount of work neccessary would be worth it. It could be it's own mod though, you know? I can picture it now; Bungee Jumping on Dive Rock with Ingar Skull-Breaker!

Um... Vagrant0 seems accurately negative to me. All he really said was to think it over carefully.

That said, I would help, but don't really feel confident taking on a group-project yet...

isnt he always but sometimes he does have a point

I'd like to point out that I like being proven wrong, it means that there was something that I didn't considder. And I suspect that some of those things which were initially planned have been scrapped in favor of things which work better in the long run. Interested to see what happens with this project...

Indeed, you are correct. You called it as it was; the city has been moslty reimagined for ease of modding, but also for originality and coolness. And you can count that this project will at least make it to the beginning of quest development. We already have someone writing the scripts for the very beginning of the quest. To be honest, I never thought I would hear from you on this thread again, but I too have been proven wrong. It's a good thing. I expect this mod to reach the Top 100 on TESNexus!

"Is someone making this"...

...

:woot:

Are you serious?! Well, nevermind, I guess you haven't been following this thread but a few days. Well, check out the pictures of the city. The completed city is showcased on thread page 33. The interior of the Rider's Council Hall is on page 34. I have been working on this project for the past six months, and talking about it since last December. I got a rough draft of the scripting neccessary for the first part of the quest this morning, courtesy of QQuix.

In short, YES, we are making it.
