Crippling limbs - A bodypart question.

I used human targets, Concord Npcs and raiders.

What were your modified setting Noah?

Here's an ESP I made with the CK. I gave aliens 100 HP and 1% torso, leg and arm health (left and right). 1 shot removes all body part health from the from those limbs. I also reduced torso and leg damage to 50% to lower the chance of 1-shotting such a weak enemy, but it still functions like it should with 100% damage. I picked aliens because there's only one type of alien.

I tested your mod with and without my mod. with your mod after mine in the load order. I don't know where, but something inside my mod now prevents from fast crippling, while my bodyparts damage multipliers work fine. I can't detect anything suspicious in short changes in the game setting.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

From a brief look at the human body part record in FO4Edit and comparing it to a mod I made with similar edits, I don't see anything unusual. Also looking at the human left leg in the CK, I don't see anything unusual. Are you sure you're doing the calculations correctly? Remember, 0.33 damage with 5% health is equivalent to 15% limb health, but with less damage to the main HP bar.

Yes, that where I'm going. I am using an assault rifle of 75 vs 150 hp targets with around 75 armor. I put there the 5% just to try see if there is a difference between 1% to 5%,

I couldn't notice a difference between anything I put there, It takes 3 shots from close range to cripple a target at this point. When I loaded your alien mod, This condition passed on to your mod.

When I disabled my mod, your mod worked as intended.

My guess is that another value influences the chance to cripple.

I observed, that it doesn't matter how much health the target have. What matter is the damage ratio. the 50% and 33% determines if its 2 or 3 shots before they fall on their knees.

Keep in mind the difficulty settings you have and armor enemies wear as well. Your damage output could be worse than you think.

Its not related to damage. Something, somewhere in my mod alters the changes to damage limbs. The problem is, it must be the last thing we expect to affect it.

My mod sets normal and survival to X1 damage. I always run my game on normal and alter the difficulty to suit my taste through modding. I'll just keep hunting. :-)
