Scorpio9
Well this is really bad news, resurrection was amazing overhaul. Is there a chance author will be back, or is it permanent ban?
zanity
The Nexus COULD create an open-source licence for mods, and encourage all mods hosted her to use it. And NO, this is NOT impossible because of Bethesda, since it is perfectly LEGAL for programs to distribute under two co-existent licenses. If Nexus was grown-up, like 99.99% of all other community based free software development on the planet, new modders could use ANY existing mods published under the licence WITHOUT seeking explicit approval, so long as the new mod fully inhereted the licenses. No more pseudo-legal rubbish about 'theft'. More mods. Better mods. A nicer community. Less back-biting. Sadly Nexus is British, not American, so all the negaitives are seen as positives (and I talk as a Brit). Britain is not the home of Tabloid journalism for no reason. The open-source movement could never have originated in Britain. And this is why there is ZERO encouragement of the values of open-source development on the Nexus. Yet with Beth locking down modding in the near future (mods for iDTech games- Elder Scrolls Next, Fallout 5 etc- will only be hosted on Beth.net), having the Nexus EVOLVE and embracing open-source development and licences, is the only long term strategy for this place that can work. Gruffydd
Open source? No thanks. I've put hundreds of hours into the textures for my mod, and I have no interest in someone coming along and just taking them for their mod without even having to ask. JuJooGuppy
Good ol' Zanity, can always be counted on for a good laugh, as well as bat-s*** crazy comments :) They are enjoyable to read, at the least.
Mythos214
Oh... well that blows. I had my eye on that mod.. was going to try it out at a later date when or if I was able to get a better computer built. Guess I should have downloaded a version of it while I still had the chance..
