Packing loose file into BA2 files

Does this help avoid disappearing meshes etc?

I recently released a Home Plate mod with a few custom meshes and textures, and some people have experienced missing meshes. It seems to only ever be the modded meshes and never anything vanilla that is packed in a BA2.

At first, I was thinking this was a game save issue, but now, I'm not too sure.

EDIT: FYI, not everyone has this issue. Although...I did while making the mod, but it seemed linked to saves that were conflicting with certain changes I made inside the cell.

@Old hand

I am one of "those people" who for some reason have problems with mods like yours.

I didn't have Fallout4Custom.ini, I had create it - nothing changed. I've made changes to other .inis [i've watched the tutorial on installing mods recommended by nexus], I've tried installing mods manually, via installer, I even reinstalled the game itself - to no avail.

I am also trying to find an ansewer to your question :]

Yeah, it's weird. I'm thinking it has something to do with the cell reset issue. It's just odd that it affects some people but not others. There has to be something I can do, I jsut haven't figured it out yet.

Yeah, it's really weird and annoying, but hey!

Some people pack textures and meshes into ba2:

https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4072945-ba2-archives-for-esp/

OK, OK, the author seems to have some problems with making just one ba2, but I finally see a glimmer of hope for my SS - I am trying to change the mesh and texture of my guy from vanilla to EVB - I really hate his dirty underwear.

But back on topick - there is a mod on Nexus, called yyyyh.. handsome or hot Hancock, which made Hancock look less like my grandpa and more like the king of zombies. I've downloaded it as loose files from nexus and it didn't work. The author of this mod made version downloadable from bethesda.net and I gave it another try - this time it worked like a charm.

You know what we can do? Pack your loose files into ba2, upload it somewhere and I since I am one of those people I could tell you if it works!

++++

Oh, and I am sorry for confusing your name with your rank :]

Huh... apparently, I need to... I have no idea what I have to do, but I am motivated to do that :]

I've been to tutorial section already, and found nothing. My next stop - youtube.

Still, when you are done I would be happy to help with testing :]
