A message from an inexperienced mod user to mod creators

I enjoy a lot of mods, some safe for work, others not. However, I've had a lot of trouble with the mods that interest me the most. I click to download it, then I install the mod required for it, then the 2 mods required for each of those, then another mod that needs another mod, then some software that has gotten more and more complicated as people used it, then the mod doesn't quite work right, and the mod author has abandoned it, and I just end up with a bunch of loose, broken files that I end up deleting and forgetting about ever trying to get the mod I wanted in the first place. With a fresh restart with the modding scene in Fallout 4, is it likely that we will see more mod co-labs to make it easier to download mods with the NMM? If not, will starting fresh with the new game, slowly adding on mods as they come instead of all at once, be likely to happen? I really want to enjoy some people's skyrim mods, but they're either too complex or have been abandoned.

If you're just looking for a nice list of mods that play nice together, consider following this guide. It covers all aspects of installing the game and preparing the game for mods, plus, the mods they suggest you to use to enhance the Vanilla experience.

Edit: I am not a Mod Author by the way. Just thought I would clarify that just to be sure. Also, the above link is for Skyrim (which you mentioned in your post).

I try to make sure that my mods don't require any other mods to make them work.

I name stuff in my mod in a way that the objects themselves should not conflict with other mods. However, if someone chooses to modify a building I am using in their mod, I can't help the fact that they will conflict.

As far as NMM is concerned, I have never used any sort of mod manager as I install everything manually. Can't help you there,
