Painfully slow load times

Hi folks, been playing thought the game since Friday and loving it but having some major issues with load times when entering new areas, sometimes it's taking at least 2 minutes to load the area! Not a problem with my rig as I'm running with high specs and having no fps issues. Also I never had this problem with fallout 3 or nv.

Any idea how to speed up load times? Will I need to get a large address aware mod when it comes out?

Any help will be much appreciated, it's destroying the immersion for me as I have to think twice about loading a new area.

That 5400RPM might be your culprit. As far as spindle drives go, that's fairly slow. I'd recommend upgrading to a 7200+ RPM, or even better: a ssd. I've included links to a few drives that I'm currently running in my PCs and have had zero problems with.

Seagate barracuda:

WD Caviar Blue:

That would be the easiest way to speed your load times up :) What are the rest of your specs? There are more factors than just HDD when it comes to loading.

How do you find out the RPM? I can't see it in device manager. It's just that I'm pretty sure my HDD will be slow by modern standards since it's from about 2006 and wasn't particularly expensive and only gets 5.5 in the Windows hardware index, and yet Skrim loads very quickly for me, too fast to read the tips.
