The same thing happened to me, kinda. I have been playing skyrim for 13 h (Bought it not so long ago) and now suddenly it starts to crash, I don´t know why it works fine for 13 h and THEN starts to crash.

Windows 7 64x

AMD FX-6300 Six-Core

8GB Ram

AMD Radeon HD 7700

And Other Stuff.

My game used to crash in the exterior worldspace at least once or twice every hour. My latest saves in the rift crashes within a minute.

My load order:

  Reveal hidden contents

Specs: Windows 8.1

GPU: Nvidia GeForce 780

CPU: Intel® Core i5-4670k

RAM: 8GB

Things I've tried:

Open the Load order in TES5Edit. Found no errors

Sort the load order with BOSS and LOOT
Set the shadows to low
Remove some script heavy mods. So far it hasn't fixed the problem
I installed the Memory patch and SSME before this problem occured for me.

@Stardusk link your specs, might be a problem there. (+ have u got latest drivers ?)

Same here until now, lowering shadows to medium still results in crashing.

Low works fine for now, but I'm not getting my hopes up until I've got proof.

Steps to take:

2. Turn off V-Sync

3. Do the audio tweak (44000hz and 16 bit in audion playback)

5. ATI users: try turn off Crossfire, seems that somehow helps some.

could you specify how to do those? I am kind of a noob on pcs

This is still happening to me, once it closes Steam updates it, but it still happens every time after about 10 - 15 mins of gameplay. It was working fine before yesterday night, I could play as long as I want. Anyone know of any fixes that have popped up since?

(Only playing Skyrim until Fallout 4)
