Oblivion reloaded uninstalled but games crashes

I installed OR to oblivion but, I had to manually install the mod. so I do, and then in the game, the first person camera was glitchy and I didn't like it so I tried to uninstall the Oblivion reloaded mod by following the uninstall instructions on the nexus and delete the content manually. but after that my game doesn't work anymore. not sure if uninstalling the mod deletes default content/settings and folders because now when I start up my game, the main screen, where continue and new game are, loads up, but when I click continue, oblivion crashes and goes to a black screen saying oblivion not responding. how can I fix this?!? very angry at myself/mod maker!

I know next to nothing about this particular mod as I've yet to get into seriously modding Oblivion but is it possible that the save relies on a script from this mod?

Try loading up a save from before the mod was installed.

I don't think Oblivion Reloaded is the cause of your problem. You didn't uninstall the mod correctly, and maybe removed another file ...

You should use Wrye Bash to manage Oblivion's mods...

Try to install OR again. See if the crash problem is fixed.

You can disable the first person camera of OR in the OblivionReloaded.ini file

CameraMode = 0

You should read the readme files a little more.

OR's (de)installation instructions apply to Vanilly games. All sorts of things may go wrong when manually (de)installing in a modded game.

Adding to diggydug's advice: Yes, always make a "clean save" when uninstalling mods: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes4Mod:Clean_Save

Hopefully that's all you need to do.

Adding to bevilex's advice: In my Wrye Bash, I am looking at the files Oblivion Reloaded installs: Over 300. Some are unique to OR, others aren't. Now, when you had had mods installed before installing OR, then you are in the business of retaining the latest pre-OR file versions by walking backwards in your load-order o_O. That's among the stuff Wrye Bash does for you. Just don't start using Wrye Bash on base of a borked game installation.

I've noticed that Oblivion Reloaded also makes Oblivion Reloaded save games, similar to obse saves. They linger after you have uninstalled, so if all else fails try deleting the save games that end in the .or extension after you have uninstalled, and see if your game can start. I have the latest version of Oblivion Reloaded and have found this problem after trying to uninstall. I have not tried this method, so it might not work so be sure to back up the saves. If this does not work then just reinstall the game. That's what I did.
