Whiligelm
So far (still in Dragonsreach) the only monster that scared my ass was that draugr coming out of the grave when you learn the dragon language in the cave. Dragon are far too beautifull to be scary
draksisbg
My first real scare was about +2 hours in the game. I was just walking around, admiring the awesome landscapes (managed to run on Ultra on a 2 and smth yrs old graphics card with a really decent FPS), and BAM! A huge ass wolf jumps out of a friggin' bush right in front of my character's face... I fell of my chair. And don't get me started on my first frost troll encounter >.<For some reason skeletons and draugrs don't really scare me - I love their design and most of the time while I'm fighting them I keep thinking that they look awesome. Violentguy
...um yeah I didn't mean that I was scared of the dragon per se, I'm scared of dying 14 billion times and not being able to advance. I'm not stupid, I know it's just a game. But still, I just abhor dying.
xaliqen
I can take down dragons pretty easily with a bow. The boss-level bandits, on the other hand... Edited November 13, 2011 by xaliqen
darkneon
i think i'm more afraid of the spiders then the dragons...but yea, having arachnophobia would explain a lot...
WarKirby3333
i stopped being scared of dragons when i fouind a 30% fire resist amulet, and later a 12% magic resist ring. in addition to being a breton, dragons of either type basically can't touch me, they do pathetic damage and i wear them down
TrueChaoS
Currently a level 17 Khajiit, purposefully avoiding magic resistant gear, and I can still take down Dragons solo, playing on Expert (Difficulty 4 out of 5). I've taken down two story related Dragons, five randomly encountered Dragons, and a Blood Dragon. I have decent archery, considering it's not my main skill, and can take Dragons down in 10-15 minutes dependant on if it lands and/or hovers often. However, some tips. When fighting them, if you are using magic or bows, keep something solid between you and the dragon, like a thick tree or a large rock. Their breath can be fatal, especially if playing on Expert or Master. I also recommend letting NPCs take the Dragon's focus if you aren't alone, and taking that time to get yourself to a good vantage point with decent, easily accessable cover - for example, a ruined tower, or a massive rock with trees extremely close by. Be patient, or you may end up dead. Keep a healing spell in your favourites and a potion hotkeyed, so you can quickly recover when damaged. That's about all I can say, because I never really dare fighting a Dragon with melee weaponry, especially on expert, where I can get incinerated in seconds. HellsMaster
You need to stock up on Health and Magika potion. Then when the dragon is in the air use a spell on him such as Spark or Lightning Bolt, pummel him with magic till he comes on the ground. Next step is to switch to your most powerful 2H you have, you then use unrelenting force to gain a few extra second and bash his head in. He will breath at you and that's where a Ward spell or HP pot comes in handy :) One tip: don't invest in Thrown Voice shout, it's rubbish (for non stealth PC that is)

Raddra
I find it kinda silly that I find bears and trolls more dangerous than dragons thus far :/ they really needed to lower the animals damage and buff up the dragons. I find it kind of odd that no matter how much I raise up my health things like bears and trolls seem to be able to cut through it as if they're dealing percentages. Anyway, if you're having trouble with dragons range and fire resist potions are useful. I also found getting in close and using power attacks to be useful, though incredibly risky.
