Stargazer09
As title says.I'm assuming it'll function like electrical trunking IRL. But I can't seem to get it to work. For instance they seem to want to be installed on the floor but not on walls or roofs.
vyvexthorne
Yeah.. You basically just lay them around the floor close to the walls. Makes it look a bit cleaner than having wires draped all over the place at least..You can sort of use the vertical ones to get wires upstairs but their positioning and length makes little sense. Conduits are quite easy to get from the inside of the building to the outside so that's a plus. The ones that are obviously for putting on the ceiling are broken and can only be snapped to the floor.. so, no reason to use those. All in all I had fun using them to build my little factory. bobofudd
I thought they weren't working right either when I tried to use some of the junctions on the ceiling. I also had a little bit of trouble because I was trying to run a line from a core generator inside a barn to the outside. I put the pass-through through the wall and ran the line across the ceiling right next to the conductor on the generator. But I couldn't connect the two because it turns out the generator was too tall even though I could see the entire conductor clearly, the wire being attached was considered too tall. I had to move the generator up a floor so the roof area gave enough clearance. I've enjoyed my time in FO4 but for the life of me I can't figure out how Bethesda came to a conclusion with some of their design decisions. Couldn't have made that generator just a hair smaller could you Bethesda? I throw that in the same category as making level 3 trader stands that were designed for outside use only knowing that everyone was going to want to put them indoors, especially since they are required to achieve maximum happiness. Everyone is a bit of a stretch. I tend to use them as designed. On the streets, with as many colored workshop lights strung up between them.
