Problems with OBSE

I'm tryin to use OBSE, but it say I have to use OBSE v.17 because my Oblivion patch version (1.2) is not compatible. But I can't find anywhere OBSE v.17 !!!!

I haven't SI, just Oblivion, and I use Win 7 64bit.

 

Can someone help me ?

Just download and install OBSE 2.0, that will do the trick for you. Anything that requires 1.7 is capable of running on 2.0. :)

First off, give us the "complete" version number. "1.2.0416" is the latest, whether it be Oblivion alone or with Shivering Isles. Any other version and current versions of OBSE will not work.

There are other 1.2 versions coming from different patches or even "beta" patches, and these will not only not work with OBSE, you will also likely have to reinstall the game as you cannot update properly from those versions. But read the OBSE webpage instructions to this matter first! Could save you some hassle.

But that's something the official patcher will tell you when you try to install the latest patch and has nothing to do with OBSE.

 

As for not finding the older versions of OBSE, take a look here: obse.silverlock.org, the official webpage for OBSE. Not only does it contain all information and instructions, you can also click on the small "downloads" link below and then again at the bottom on "Archive Folder". That should give you all you need.

My Oblivion version is 1.2.0214. i don't know if it's a beta...but I never installed a beta patch as I know !!

I read on the OBSE official site this was the official patch. Seems no beta, than...

 

Ok, I will try to update my Oblivion version...hope this will work^^
