Deleted3507349User
I'm running an Asus ROG G750-JH. It runs FO4 at a consistent ~45 FPS with some settings at high and some settings at ultra. I've no problems with texture mods either. This laptop has also proven to be quite durable, it's been bouncing around in my big truck for a couple of years now with no trouble at all. iXenite
OP - if you're hellbent on a gaming laptop, look into MSI. I'm currently running FO4 on High (with some performance tweaks, primarily turning off Godrays and tweaking shadows) on this rig: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152928R Can get it brand new for $1,200, has a two year warranty that, according to the CS guy I spoke to last week, can be summed up as "if it breaks, we'll fix it, if it fries we'll replace it" (bought mine thru best Buy, so got a two year Geek Squad "total coverage" plan on top of that that kicks in for things the factory warranty doesn't cover or once the factory warranty expires). This rig actually has a slightly better CPU than that ASUS ROG rig, and MSI has laptops with similar if not better specs (a little less RAM, but better CPU) at the same price point. That MSI laptop has a worse GPU than the Asus one though. Just saying. Most games are GPU dependent, so that is where your money should be focused on the most. I already have 2 Survivors in here with me. A Core i5 Asus and a Core i3 Compaq. Both have maxxed out RAM and SSD Upgrades. However neither of them will run Fallout 4... Spent hours trying to get around that darned video bug. Thanks for the come back!

I want to enjoy the game as I would if I were at home. Considering that I can be out here for weeks at a time anything less would be a waste. WhiskeyRiver2
I know that MY rig (the MSI one I linked to) has a worse GPU, that's why I don't try to push it to run the game on Ultra (well that, and my eyes aren't good enough to tell the difference anyway >.>). The MSI rigs with the same GPU as that ASUS rig (GTX 980M 4 gig, right?) cost about $1,800-2,000 new, little less if you're willing to buy open-box or refurbished. I went with the MSI because of the better, far longer warranty (two years instead of the one year my old ASUS had), even though it's not top-end specification-wise. I tend to have bad luck with computers, so to me warranty is a big factor - I killed my last ASUS when I tripped and knocked it off a table - cracked the screen, killed the hard drive and actually bent the f*#@ing casing/body.
