kylemarshiku
Hey guys. I joined this forum because I saw some of the amazing Fallout New Vegas mods out there. Unfortunately, I only own the game for Xbox, and I've heard how modding is completely infeasible on there. So I was thinking about getting a copy for the PC. But I have a couple of roadblocks. First, I'd need the money. Being able to procure enough for a used copy of the game plus DLCs, I could move to play the game normally on PC. Now, I've never played a shooting game on the PC, so I wouldn't be any good, but I could learn, right? Besides, VATS will make this easier, right? And then there's console commands. I've only seen these through Youtube videos, I could get the hang of that right? And then the last one. I have no idea how to mod. But do I have to? Can't I just download them and have fun? I don't NEED to know how to make them to just play them, right? The last roadblock is the largest; it's my goal. What I was hoping for is this. I want to play a game of Fallout New Vegas, with the base game, with all four DLCs, and with some of the top mods I've seen and haven't yet seen, such as new companions, new sidequests, new weapons, new monsters, and more, from the very start to end (if there is such thing as an end). I think it'd be like playing a "super" game of Fallout New Vegas, one completely unlike the original... yet like it, just with a bunch of twists. I'm worried that there might be a limit on how many mods can be on at a time or something. I have hope that there isn't, just like the DLC cap is seemingly limitless (it only makes one load time longer, the one at the start of the game). Do you guys think that I can achieve this? My first step in trying was joining this forum. I hope it won't be my last. But be honest.
Maharg67
If you are careful, get good advise, you could obtain a good game playing PC with out spending too much money, especially for some of the older but still better quality, moddable games. Learning to play shooter games on PC is easy enough. If you have done it on consoles then you should be able to do it on PC. Anyway, welcome to Nexus Forums MurderMachineX.   Edited November 15, 2011 by Maharg67
