AWKCR alternatives?

No reason? I'd say you should spend that extra minute you made this post to read more

My mods are hidden because I need your help. I am currently being blocked from uploading mods to Bethesda.net because I can't link my Steam account to my Bestheda.net account because of bugs in the in game mod menu that prevent me from logging in. So far I have received no response in my pleas for assistance from Bethesda. Time is rapidly running out until the dealine for entering the Nvidia Fallout 4 mod contest. If I can't enter the contest because of Bethesda.net bugs I will be very angry. Please flood Bethesda.net with comments asking for them to help myself and other modders stuck in the same boat at https://community.bethesda.net/thread/42788 and https://community.bethesda.net/thread/32339
Also flood Nvidia with comments asking for them to allow submissions to their mod contest from mods on Nexus if Bethesda doesn't resolve this issue at http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/make-a-fallout-4-mod-for-a-chance-to-win-huge-prizes
I have spent about 1000 hours making mods for Fallout 4 that I have shared with you, I ask that you spend ten minutes helping me out.

I read it, and I didn't say that there was no reason(I said the opposite, actually.)

I just think it's an awful reason, considering that most of (if not all) the weapon and armor mods I've come across require it.

So? don't remove the mod from your load order. As long as AWKCR doesn't change, the author can use the version he has and make his patch without issues.

You miss the point, what about users who do not HAVE AWKCR? What then? Unless the mod author includes it and the meshes for the new workbenches (Which I think is against the TOS unless Gambit77 gave permission, I'd have to check.) anyone wanting to use that mod is out of luck. Though it no longer matters since the mods are back up now. But if they weren't, either those users would need to wait until a version is made without, or the required mod is restored.

That said I do hope Gambit77 got the help he needed and I wish him luck in the contest, if he gets his entry in on time thanks to Bethesda's buggy system.

Only people missing the point here are the ones complaining. Those that do not have it deal with the normal version, or move to the next point, where Gambit clearly states he's not going to keep it hidden indefinitely.

It was back up and going before you managed to say it wouldn't be hidden indefinitely. The entire "incident" was rectified in the time it took me to make dinner and clear out Corvega for the billionth time... and people have completely demolished their games over it. Ain't life grand? :smile:

@LeCorbeauNoir21

A man gives out free food to street bums for years, then stops one day and asks the bums for help. instead of helping or anything the bums then turn around and asks "Is there an alternative out there? even if he started giving out food again right now I'd honestly rather go with an alternative"

gee ungrateful street bum much?
