GreekIrish
If I found some retexturing tutorials for Oblivion, could I use them to mod Skyrim textures? If not, what would I need to do differently?
Ghogiel
the textures themselves and how to use them are pretty much identical in form and function bar a couple things to do with normal maps. about the only things worth mentioning is swizzled and object space normal maps now have a shader flag and there are a few extra texture slots compared to the 6 or 7 that F3 had, but you can ignore that for the moment as no one knows about those slots yet and what kind of textures are stored in there. Swizzled is just a particular way to store channel information in the normal map, and the object space normal maps are just another type of normal map than what most people are used to. Everything else is just a texture, you make 'em, you save them the same way and the same format(with rare exceptions) , you put them in the data folder. done.
