In game notepad

I would have thought this would be quite simple to make. Essentially you just open the book, type what you want, perhaps ingredients for a particular potion, then exit. This could be very useful, especially if you are quite forgetful like me. You could even implement a way to draw on the paper, like in Duke Nukem, except perhaps with less penis drawings...oh who am I kidding. Any willing modders?

Unfortunately I'm very doubtful that the game will be able to handle string inputs + keyboard buffers like that... If it's capable of it then the kind of mods that we will be seeing will be astounding.

Actually I'm pretty sure with a bit of scaleform hacking you'd be able to do it just fine. Even the drawing part.

Hardest part would be getting skyrim to recognize and store nonstandard input.

I don't think Skyrim uses or is compatible with scaleform. I could be wrong, I don't know much about it. In my limited experience playing with mods I've never seen a mod capable of this.

I have seen custom map markers though but as far as being able to type something like "Left a bunch of loot here" and having it as a map marker or hover-over is a different matter.
