GileadMaerlyn
Hi, I tried to change a detail on a texture mod I downloaded, so I opened it up with GIMP, made the change and saved it. This made the original texture come back and my texture was 4 times larger than the mod's one, which was exactly as large as the original. So I remembered that in oblivion we had to choose a specific compression format in order to make them work. So I tried every format GIMP offers but I had various results from no change at all to an all purple texture, nothing worked. So, here I am, asking how to save my texture to have it work, as a lot of people apparently figured it out by themselves. Ghogiel
.ddsdirect draw surface, a format developed for direct x Most commonly used compressions would be dxt1 for textures without alpha channels and dxt5 for textures with and alpha channel. GileadMaerlyn
DXT5 it is. I was certain I tried all of them, but I must have skipped one, the right one of course. Thanks.
