White HUD, no color overlay?

Ok, I got FloorBelow's Satellite Map mod, color version. its pretty cool. something I like about it though is the INI line you have to put in to enable the color map:

[Pipboy]
bPipboyDisableFX=1

[Display]
fPipboyScreenEmitIntensityPA=1.25
fPipboyScreenDiffuseIntensityPA=0.15

This will force your pip-boy text colour to white, which is annoying but sadly unavoidable. Your HUD colour will stay the same, though.

what this did was disable the color overlay on items in your pipboy which I liked, personally I dont like the overlay. what I'm asking is if theres a way to do this with the HUD as well. I'm including a screenshot of what I'm talking about

The main image is the Pipboy, notice how the shotgun does not have that colored overlay (if thats what its called), while the HUD (Inset image, couldnt post both for some reason), has the HUD-colored overlay on the armor. It'd be nice to remove that overlay if possible

If you want to use color satellite maps, you have to disable the menu color.

I do use the color satellite map and it works fine, but the INI line the mod author provides only affects the Pipboy, not the HUD

...uhh, he just mentioned that he already successfully installed the satellite map mod.

What he, I and a whole bunch of other people are trying to look for is how to disable that annoying as hell menu highlight that stops you from seeing how the item you're applying a mod to looks like. Nothing more annoying when I'm applying a camo to my army fatigues and having that stupid overlay prevent me from seeing what the end result will be.
