Mesh visible in creation kit but not in game

Recommended Posts

I've been working on modifying a beast race to have a new head. However, when I add the mouth head part, it shows up fine in the creation kit preview, but when I load it up in game it's not there at all. I've correctly linked to the mesh and added it in the head parts section in the race menu, but I have no idea why it's not showing up in game.

If the problem is with nifskope I'm gonna need some guidance because I didn't create the mesh, I just edited it and I know so little about the program. It uses the default khajiit texture so I assume all that is correctly skinned by the previous creator. I read a little bit about dismemberment but the thing is, this mesh doesn't have a dismemberment section under NiTriShape so I'm completely confused. I don't know what I could have messed up by simply transforming it.

I am having this same type of issue. All I want to do is give a custom follower a new brighter, tanner skin tone. Everything looks great on his head in the CK, I save, then CTRL+F4 and export it... But in-game, his body takes to it but his head and neck are still the same. I have tried the following:

  • Disabling all mods that might be interfering with the male textures
  • Save -then- CTRL+F4
  • CTRL+F4 -then- Save
  • Making a clean save, disabling the mod all together, playing for a bit, making another hard save and then enabling the mod again
  • Making a hard save, disabling follower mod, playing, making another hard save then enabling the mod

All have rendered the same results: His body gets the new tone, but his head and face stay the same no matter what.

When you ctrl + F4, is there a box popping up to verify at all? When you use ctrl + F4, you have to have the actor selected in the actor section only, not the all section.
