Bump.. think anyone can pull this one off? Seems relatively simple compared to some requests.

Simplicity has almost nothing to do with which mods get attention on here, nor does popularity, it's random, it seems that people only come here with a specific search and unless they search the right terms, they will find nothing and go back to the actual nexus pages, which is why I have no problem ranting to moderators who are stupid enough to not see that these rules and lack of a mod request section on the main page are hurting the modding community more than helping. I have 20 ideas for mods that I have people emailing me for, but without a concrete place to gain support for an idea (which this forum is far from in every way, absolutely horrible UI/UX design) it just ends up being a case of throwing your 2cents down the bottomless well that everyone forgot about anyway...

This would be awesome!

But keep the original title if the book isn't read, then put (Read) afterwards you have gone through it.

Books could also contain so much more:

  • Clue to another book you need to read,
  • very small clues about locations so you then need to ask people about "The place" (new dialogue menu opens),
  • more knowledge about creatures (like in Witcher),
  • other info about gear/subject then just a skill point,
  • powers etc etc...

  • 2 weeks later...

Here's a copy of a mod did similar stuff in oblivion.

I realize this mod was based on oblivion script extender...

I would LOVE to have a similar mod, or a helping hand to make it possible for skyrim. (I have 0 experience in modding but am willing to learn what I have to.)

The information about creatures idea gives me an idea about perhaps incliuding bestiary in the menu? It could include facts like level of creatures, type (beast, man, undead) andweaknesses and resistances. As you read books (such as the guides to surviving Ice wraiths etc.) It could gain knowledge.
