Synusoidal
As for if this happens with other builds too, for mages, it certainly doesn't. Are mages too difficult to play? I keep hearing they're underpowered. I should play one sometime. Has anyone here played a true warrior type? How is that in terms of difficulty? Nadimos
Warriors seem pretty balanced, unless you start 'cheating' with alchemy and enchantments. I am playing a one-handed nord with shield in heavy armor on expert difficulty. Edited November 17, 2011 by Nadimos

Well, I can't compare it yet, but a main problem is that highlvl spells are useless, see my post here: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/463994-why-would-you-use-highlvl-spells-as-a-mageI'm lvl 38 and doing fine, but I'm only playing on 4/5 difficulty and take quite some time to take tougher enemies down. Dragons are totally easy though, I can just interrupt their breath with a timed stun, no problem.
MDMAMGMT
I totally agree that the sneaking needs to be made a tad bit harder. If you're sneaking through a vampire cave, then shoot one of them with an arrow, even if you manage to sneak away they should keep searching or at least be on a raised alert for AT LEAST an in game hour. Who's going to go back to reading a book after an arrow flies out of the darkness and pierces your side?
Dreadarm
So right now, my main character in Skyrim is level 35, and I've been focusing mainly on side quests and finished the Dark Brotherhood quest line (so I also got all the delicious armours and weapons). I started my character with the concept of an assassin in mind, and I picked the perks accordingly. Until level 30, the game was incredibly difficult at times. I had to turn down the difficulty every time I encountered a troll or giants, and my greatest enemy was always the cave bear. Those things are vicious! Amazingly enough, I has no trouble with dragons. However, after that, I spent some more points in Sneak and One-Handed, and now suddenly the game is easy-mode on highest difficulty. Enemies fail to see me when I'm literally 3 feet away from them. I can one-shot pretty much anything, and the enemies are incredibly stupid when you're playing Stealth. The guy is standing there, I sneak up behind his guard, take him out, and he just stands there, totally ignorant to the fact that I killed his buddy 3 feet away. The game's almost turned into a grind. Go to dungeon XYZ, one-shot-sneak-kill all zombies/bandits, kill the boss using the hide-and-seek approach, exit, rinse and repeat. Even trolls and cave bears are no longer a threat as I can either sneak past them or just do massive critical damage. I can literally finish every mission, and clear every cave without anyone ever touching me. Has anyone else experienced this? Have you experienced this on other character builds by any chance? Is the game just generally supposed to be this easy in the mid-30s range? Right now, I'm taking a break and playing a berserker-type character and focusing on Heavy Armour, Destruction, One-Handed, and Two-Handed. I'm hoping the combat would be more fun and exciting. Yes, my level 28 assassin can one shot anything even the big drougr bosses. she does 30x dmg in sneak mode with a flawless Elvin dagger, and maxed enchants of shock dmg. but i find that sneak is easy mode yes, however, not always for me as some npc's seem to be broken with sneak, as in the brairhearts automatically see/hear me from 30 feet away / through walls with sneak 100 plus the ancient assassins armor. aside from that i have yet to actually sneak attack a dragon. Infact I can hardly ever get them to fight me. they just do not seem to notice me unless i am directly next to a village and even then they attack the npc's and i have to riddle it with arrows before it will finally take notice. Jacina
Stealth, once it hits the point of being able to stand in front of someone (when its dark only) becomes pretty rediculous. Dagger + stealth is a bit harder, Archery+ Stealth is very easy as you get multiple stealthed hits. Basically after getting in one critical you shouldn't get in another anytime soon, also once they spot a dead body (and yeah that code seems to be in) they should be in an "alert" state that heightens their detection, should still be able to hit them from behind but not stand in front of them... Pascual
I noticed when I got the perk / boots that make all movement while sneaking silenced it got a lot easier. Upping the difficultly helps a bit. They still won't see you when they should but at least their increased health makes sneak attacks less deadly. egg
My assassin is around level 25 and I am finding that stealth is becoming a bit too easy as well. Especially when I do a sneak attack from the front with a sword in the light. It just seems silly that they cant see me standing at the other side of the room under a light let alone right in there face about to stab them. I also agree about the alert status. Its bad enough when you shoot and kill their friend but what about when they have an arrow in their own neck and are saying it must have been my imagination  I hope someone tweaks this. Sneaking shouldnt make you invisible you should still have to avoid line of sight and stick to shadows. It should just make you harder to see and harder to hear but not impossible. If I have master sneak and knock a load of plates off a shelf people should have a raised alert status for a bit. If I kill someone then they should look until they find me or go and get backup. Im hoping someone fixes this with a mod. Bethesda are great at making these big games and think of lots of details and yet always seem to let this kind of stuff slip by like its got 100 sneak
Reddimus
Took a bit to get there, but two Daedra Lords is pretty OP. I just sit back and watch things fall over.
