isamu99
I was just wondering....is you steal something and get caught, then proceed to kill the guards trying to arrest you, will that have negative consequences on you in the game? Or is it something that's not a big deal and shouldn't be worried about? Also, will having a bounty on your head for stealing/killing have negative consequenses as well? I have avoided doing "bad things" for the most part, and have only comitted 4 crimes in the entire game, but this scenario has me intrigued as to what is suggested and what is not. Tropxe
You'll get an additional bounty of 40 for assault and then 1000 for murder. Also, it sometimes leads to guards attacking you on sight, forcing you to either flee or get additional 1000 bounties. At least until you run away and return. However, if you silently kill the guard you won't get a bounty. If you also murder all witnesses without creating additional witnesses, you'll also lose the bounty. It's a little glitchy but that's how it usually works. All of this is shown at the top-left corner of the screen as it happens, for example ("1000 bounty" and then "1000 bounty removed because last witness is dead" or something like that). Reddimus
If you have your companion kill them you're not in trouble. You could probably wipe out a whole town this way without ever getting higher bounty, but hopefully your buddy is geared.
Tropxe
This wouldn't work on Master, I can say that much at least. My follower can't even kill one guard. What you can do, though, is trigger a glitch where the guards are in an aggressive state but still willing to arrest you (rather than killing you without saying anything) and if you let them offer you the choice of jail, money or death, you can leave the dialogue up and your follower will kill all the guards without them fighting back. isamu99
Guys, just to clarify....if you steal something and do NOT get caught, it will have NO adverse or negative consequenses on you later on, correct? Also....is it just me, or can stolen goods NOT be sold?
Moikko
Ofc stolen goods can be sold! Just that not every vendor buys stolen goods, atleast one vendor who is in thief guild buys stolen goods! And if im not totally wrong you can get upgrade ur speech perk so every vendor will buy them! Correct me if im wrong!! :)

Tropxe
One thing with trying to kill all witnesses, though, is how many NPCs can't be killed in this game. I went to one little backwater village the other day and just started killing the guards for fun. Almost every single villager was immortal. It was ridiculous. I went somewhere else, killed a barmaid but her friend saw, I chased after her... She was immortal. At least in Oblivion it was only with incredibly significant characters, and in Morrowind you could kill everyone, even Lord Vivec.
