indycurt
OK, I'm not one of those who doesn't read previous chains on issues I'm having. I've read all the recent CTD chains, and yet nothing applies to the problem I'm currently having. Here's what's happening: Game loads great, I play for about 20 or 30 minutes, and then when entering a new cell (like opening a door to a building) or even fast traveling, it crashes. There is no pattern. It just happens around the 5th or 6th change of cell. I can be anywhere in the game, no particular area. It's like when I change cells the 5th or 6th time, boom, crash. It started happening after the last Fallout 4 update. That is the only thing I know for sure. The other weird thing I've noticed is that when launching the game and I get to the screen where at the bottom it says to "hit any key to continue", the screen flashes black, then I have to hit "any key" again for the menu to come up. It never did that before the "update". I only have about 21 active mods and most are decorating or house mods. No textures, no enbs, no weapons, no follower, etc. Pretty simple mods. I've validated the files, nothing there. And I can't believe that it is a mod issue since I've not changed the mods I had when the game was working fine. I could go hours without a crash. The only thing that "changed" was the update. Any help would be really appreciated, so thanks in advance!
washirfd
Same CTD on CELL change, I played for 4 hours no problems then change cell crash, restart, play a while, go to the same place it crashed on, np, a while later, different location CELL change crash, repeat that about 40 times over the last week. indycurt
I'm seeing variations of this problem everywhere. I also have a new twist on this issue. I had not started the Far Harbor series until a few days ago. While in Far Harbor, no crashes at all. So there is another part of this mystery to add. Yehudi
i take it graphics drivers are up to date as are your mods f4se etc ,and randomly you say there has to be a common denominator what cells ? whats in em what mods affect those cells ? my game runs good with latest update , made any .ini edits Ugrids per chance ? c'mon man for an "old hand" your info is sparse system specs load order they help but you know that already. if using a MM disable/uninstall all mods see if it runs ,then put em back one by one till the splook hits again . indycurt
Yehudi: As the person above you stated as well, there are NO common cells. I was explicit when stating "there is no pattern". I was also explicit when stating what type of mods I have. I was also explicit that this started happening after the last Fallout update. I do not screw around with .ini files. As a matter of fact, if a mod states that in order to use the mod I have to make changes to .ini files or any other files for that matter, I skip that mod. I don't screw around with game files. I use LOOT for my load order and there are no conflicts. I was also explicit that the types of mods I use are house and decorator/building mods. I don't use any weapons, texture, enbs, or cell changing mods. I use NMM for mods. There was no reason to give my "system specs" for this issue. You should assume that if the game was working perfectly before the update, system specs have nothing to do with it. Hence the same logic for "mod list". I gave an overview of types of mods and the very small number of active mods should have been enough info there. Again, the game was running perfectly BEFORE the update. When one is experiencing an in-game problem, one hopes for help, not a chastising from someone. Being an "old hand", I gave all pertinent information for the problem. Though your attempt at help is appreciated, the "tone" of your help was not. Edited July 14, 2016 by indycurt
Purr4me
Get a report from the Ck, load all current mods into it. Ignore all data from the main master files and DLC but pay close attention to the plugins not default.AKA the mods. are any of the mods currently updated to this new patch? The CK will stop on mods plugin data not updated.

Purr4me
The Ck installer requires you to be logged in to Bethesda's web site during it's install, once it is installed, you need to copy all of it's contents to the main game folder, make your INI adjustments for Masters and then link it thru steams application as a non steam game.then launch it and allow it to update. what ever you do, do not try to run it in it's default install location because it won't work. The download and install is only access to to software, it's is not user friendly. Checking any mods, prior to enabling them in the CK you need to log into their site so you have Full access to all data and algorithms it provides. Currently that's how it works ,it's a messed up deal but this is the workaround. Copy all My doc ini files directly to the main game folder for the executable so the CK will not hunt for things, those are where you make your changes. If required, I can supply screen shots that indicate an idea of what needs to be seen. IF so desired. Decryption software is not part of the packages downloaded, you need to log in for that to take place. It's not shipped with the product so you know. Otherwise the CK is a waste of space.
