radiumskull
I think @krollo is talking about the default ambient light that most cells have when there's no light objects present. I've been wondering the same thing, because I still have lots of ambient light and default fog in my custom interior cells. No matter how dark it seems in the CK view, it's never that dark in game. I expect it's a matter of setting the Lighting Template correctly, but I haven't been able to find any guidance about that, with regard to making things really dark. You seem to be suggesting I let you work on my mod. While I appreciate the offer, I'd prefer that you share your technical knowledge, so that @krollo and myself and others can help ourselves. Purr4me
we don't delete data in any cells we don't set things disabled IF a trigger is attached to an item, we don't touch it. Ambient lighting if set to increase as a switched target? we don't touch it. We do all of this By simply lowering the Lights Down just beneath the floor and at a level to be desired so some lights seem to be from no where. OR Pitch Black the deeper you go.There is no magic here and it's all so simple too. Kitty Black

Kitty Black I understand what you mean here, but I'm looking for information about how the lighting works inside the game engine. It looks like your technique is only for use with an existing cell. Steps 1-4 don't apply to my mod, because I'm building entirely new interior cells. My cells are duplicated from the marker cell, so there were no triggers, disabled items, switched targets or even lights to begin with.
Purr4me
you specifically asked a direct question; I gave you an answer to it only. Your custom mod practices were not in question. This is how it's done correctly. the same thing, because I still have lots of ambient light and default fog in my custom interior cells. No matter how dark it seems in the CK view, it's never that dark in game. Edited July 14, 2016 by Purr4me
