parrotheada1a Posted July 17, 2016 Share Posted July 17, 2016 (edited) I should start out by saying that I am not a modder and don't know dhow difficult any mod might be for this type of thing.I got into this conversation in another thread today with member Purr4me about how the pip boys look crazy big on the ladies. My toon is Janice, perhaps you've seen pics of her up on the Nexus, mebbe not. Anyway, this is the screenie that started it. That pip boy isn't the size of a ladies watch for sure. He mentioned that she needed nylons. Then what I started thinking was that she needed better craftable shoes. Hence the Al Bundy reference. I'm not talking about sky high slooty platform sandals, but something close to what is already in the game. How about some plain pumps without the strap across the top? IIRL, that is something common you can likely see in any office and many other places for that matter. I was thinking colors, black, sand (nude) and perhaps red. They have to look like they fit correctly though. Same heel height as what is there also. Those shoes are part of the outfit, so they probably need a new slot assignment. Second idea is for some plain sneakers. Cons or Keds type would look nice. I think wearing those instead of boots with JC's jeans would look nice & summery. IIRC someone made Cons for another Beth game some time ago. The last two might just be retextures. First is for the summer shoes. These look like simple ballet flats, but right where the toes go into the shoe, the whole thing widens out. Look at the outsides of the shoes where her little toe would be. I think they could be turned into some boat shoes without a whole lot of effort. Super common in 3 seasons up here in the Commonwealth. I don't think we need more boots, sandals or slooty heels. Mebbe I am wrong. Perhaps someone will actually do some of it. Thoughts & comments always welcome. WhiskeyRiver2 Posted July 17, 2016 Share Posted July 17, 2016 Actually, since Fallout tech is in some weird 50s/60s sci-fi stasis (still using vacuum tubes, the transistor as we know it was bleeding-edge tech when the nukes dropped, and yet we have domestic robots that look like floating jellyfish and fusion-powered cars), a "portable personal computer" of about that size is actually one hell of an achievement - compare the one we have in-game to the Pip-Boy 1.0 visible in the trailer and you'll see why. I remember from New Vegas someone trying to do a high heels mod and saying they pretty much had to fix CBBE first, at least that part of it. Took them a long time to get it good enough so that it didn't look ridiculous in game. Anyway, I took a few screenies of Janice up on Cinnamon Island. She went out early in the morning and sat watching the sun come up. Her ankles look all messed up from the side, not so much straight on. I am no doctor, but I would say she needs some serious corrective surgery.
