Help: Skyrim "data files" unclickable

So I have 3 Skyrimprefs.ini files

1 is in Programfiles(x86)

1 is in Documents\MyGames\Skyrim

and

1 is in \AppData\Local

All 3 have the bEnable code under launcher and still can't get the Data Files to be clickable.

 

I added this code to the one is appdata

uLastAspectRatio=2
bEnableFileSelection=1

 

The one that is in AppData has my saves.

Should I move the files to the MyGames Location?

 

Edit: I moved the files from AppData to MyGames

But after running launcher It created a new folder back there and created DLCList and Plugins

So by default my game is pulling from AppData\Local\Skyrim\

Are you running the steam version of the game?

I don't think so, steam didn't install when I installed the game. I got it as a gift from my dad.

Edit:

So I deleted the ini files in appdata and ran game so they would respawn. the new skyrimprefs.ini is diff

and there is no [launcher] in that file. Do I just add the new code into it or should I restore my backed up one? I'm soooo confused by all this.

I'm giving up on modding this. I've un-installed and re-installed. I've put that line of code in the new ini file, at the top, bottom, middle, I've used the fake full screen ini with that code already there. I've tried every 'fix' i can find and still nothing. If the NMM would work I would be fine, But it keeps giving me that stopped working error upon startup. I've tried every fix for that also, new install location, I un-installed the new version, cleaned my registry, and installed an older version, all permissions are set. I'm at a loss. I guess i just have to play it vanilla.

So I returned the game i got from dad and bought the steam version, it's on sale right now.

Still having issues. Nexus Mod Manager does not run no matter what i've tried, Mod Organizer is trying to load from a non exsistent drive on my comp. I'm trying to manually install from here but Data is still greyed out, The ini file I found is in neither AppData or My Documents both of those locations are empty. I found mine in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\%USER_MYDOCS%\My Games\Skyrim

and that file has the bEnable code in it. What do I do?

I have three SkyrimPrefs.ini files on Windows 7 64-bit.

 

1) C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Skyrim\My Games\Skyrim

2) C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\%USER_MYDOCS%\My Games\Skyrim

3) C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Skyrim

 

I have added to the top of all three (both with only one of the files having the script at a time or all three files having the script at the same time) with no luck:

bEnableFileSelection=1

I have removed the .ini files and ran the launchers in the hopes that it would create them correctly, however they were not recreated...though the launcher and game ran correctly.

Any other suggestions?

Nevermind, I found 2 more copies of it. One of them was in my H:\ drive which is on a remote server. Can't wait to see if it will still work once I am not on that network. It might be up my alley to reinstall when I am off network :) Thx for all the previous posts.
