Problems

Hi all, I just installed a few mods from this site to give the bosmer females more faces, and now when I start a new game and try to pick a bosmer female, I get an error message that is something to the effect of: "default_object_marker_error.NIF

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks,

Gimpy

You have a texture file (*.nif) that is either missing from your plug-in, or has been placed in the wrong folder; most likely it's the latter. The error message will tell exactly what file is missing, and where it should be. Try reading the pinned topic "How to Install Morrowind Plug-ins".

Ok, it's still not working, here is the exact error message: Model Load Error: Meshes\BG\BG_B_N_WElf_Head03.NIF

Cannot load file in Meshes|BG\BG_B_N_WElf_head03.NIF

Will use the default object marker_error.NIF

Continue running executable?

I am rather new to modding and can only make custom races and classes. So can someone take this ugly bag of snakes and lay 'em out straight for me?

Thanks again,

Gimpy :help:

You're missing the head model for a wood elf. It's not a fatal error, but every npc with that head model will have a giant yellow ! for a head. Only thing to do is reinstall all your plugins and check to make sure all the .nif files are in morrowind/data files/meshes. If it's a bad plugin and the file doesn't exist, you'll just have to play without it.
