Vagrant0
By active quests, you mean..you have a bunch of arrows showing on your compass? That's too confusing to me. I deactivate everything but the one I want to work on. Now that I'm finished the main quest I'm working on getting all my shouts first cause I really like those shouts. Super cool! If I happen upon a quick quest, I'll do it. But most just sit in waiting. I wish there was a way to abandon a quest. Can you abandon a quest if you decide you don't want to do it?Can always just kill the person who gave it. For minor quests atleast.

You bring up a good point. As I said in my post, I'm not playing the story line just yet, and there have been a couple of quests that I had to back up on and abandon. I can come back to them later ( I hope ). Or I just load a game previous to that quest and continue on. I am only at level 12 and not that strong so I am building up gradually as I go and just exploring.
Eldarmari
I am in the same spot at the moment. Quests...so many...quests. If anything for a mod idea we need a overhauled quest system, even a better "list" and style so we can just bring up a master list of everything at once, and have the details on the right (maybe even like wow?) i find that the quests in the log dont seem important they are just there, the game makes no emphasis on any 1 quest, they are just another number, if that makes sense? Its like they said ok we are going to create 1000 random quests that come from 100 different places/ways/areas and they can just do them as they want That was my problem with Morrowind too, i spent so much time off doing side quests and exploring that i never finished the main story, lost track of where i was, and had done things that killed scripts or events that were supposed to happen, so i had to reload and it was a mess. At least with Skyrim it keeps you on main path and you know exactly where to go and where you left off. Morrowind didnt that have that...not so much. Also the developers made this game with the exploration/quests in mind first and foremost, as soon as i left that first town burned down by the dragon, i said ok, which direction do i want to go...(closed my eyes and pointed) and off i went, after 15 minutes i had lost the dude that was with you, i guess supposed to follow him...so i was all alone and prcoeeded through 3-4 dungeons before i even decided to head to the first "town" and i didnt even know i'd stumble into dude from the start, so i was just exploring and walked into a house and BAM dude was sitting there like i hadnt been gone for 3 days and updated my main quest...lol.... Also i find that even if i clear areas as i come across them, the game is setup to accomodate that at least so far. For example i went and cleared the dungeon that get the 3 claw key thing from i cleared that all out, when i went to the 1st town, dude was rewarding me and all this, and i hadnt even been on that quest, but it updated and it was really confusing at first, i didnt even know there was a quest for it? so i guess in some situations its best to follow along. Also i cleared out the barrows and got the dragonstone long before i even made it to whiterun, when i finally got to the keep and wizard dude, he gave me the quest, which i just then immediately turned in (the dialog reflected this...so they did sorta plan for people if they finished the dugneon before coming to the keep) But as far as side quests...there is random people on the road, people walk up to you (couriers) handing you letters and items for quests, there's quests hidden all over, i've bought items from the shop in whiterun and dude later says i see you have the flaming something i dont know how it ended up there, but if you can return it to me...i mean really? the game is already epic enough with the size of the map and areas...but the depth of the quests and tasks...you end up playing far far longer than any other RPG i've played (cept for maybe final fantasy 7...but thats another story) and its still FUN. Even at max level i know i will be cruising every old area and trying to complete every quest...only to realize that since some choices open up certain quests and change certain outcomes...you will have to re-roll several playthroughs to even see "everything"................. *dies*
