duckdude
Playing these kind of game with a slower pace is deeply rewarding, but it does indeed require loads of free time, and not all of us are in a position where they can arrange to take a leave from life for month or so. But if you can, I say go for it. Sounds like great fun, wish i had the time to do something like this myself. Will probably make a more RPy character after i ahve finished my main. Will probably just walk around and have fun on that character.
wait what
Lack of fast-travel isnt all that time consuming. If you take the right route, the distances arent much to travel. Plus you can collect and hunt on the way there.

sarnz
This game really is what you make of it... I was enjoying it completely how it was at first... but now I made a new character, going for a different build (all out warrior), and I turned off crosshairs, compass health / mana and all. It's definitely so much cooler and without all that stuff to look at on the screen you can really get into the game a lot more. I do still use the map and journal, I figure those would be real enough to have.. Plus I'd forget everything I have to do without the journal. Trying not to fast travel though. natelovesyou
Shouting at your monitor? God, that's too far. The rest is a cool idea, and can be helped when modding tools FINALLY arrive.
robidoux
I've turned off my compass a while back and I have to agree with Shantih that this game is built around that stupid white arrow. You're rarely given enough info to go by journal alone like in Morrowind. Hell, I remember being given actual directions like "if you see the dwemer pipe with a dead cliff racer stuck in it you've gone too far." This game sometimes doesn't even give you the NAME of the place you're going in the journal entry because it assumes you'll just follow the arrow. The clairvoyance spell sort of disgusted me when I saw it. The sparkly Fable trail? Really? I did have fun laughing at my roommate when it led him the wrong way though. Oh, and PsYchotic666Joker, you've made yourself look like a jackassed moron.
