Tehori
This probably isn't the final version, but it works for everything from creatures to armor to weapons to statics for me. I'd figure I'd share it. I did NOT create this file, I am merely linking it from the nifskope forums. You must right-click and use the "save link as" option. Rename the file to nif.xml and stick it in the nifskope folder.http://niftools.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=niftools/nifskope;a=blob_plain;f=nifskope2/niflib/nif.xml;hb=refs/heads/ogre3d
Thepal
Good news. This opens another facet to modding. It's kinda cool seeing different types of mods pop up based on what new discoveries are made.

bend2squares
Thanks for the file! I'm handy with 3dmax, but new to Nifskope. I'm trying to setup the texture paths. I don't think auto-detect is going to work. Can anyone help me with how the paths should be setup in the render settings menu?
Tehori
Try this:http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSkope/Setting_the_Texture_Search_PathYou'll likely want to follow the directions that are specific to oblivion. My paths are as following C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/skyrimC:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/DataC:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\Unpack\textures Any ideas? Ghogiel
Any ideas? It won't render textures on Skyrim nifs because it can't yet.
GileadMaerlyn
Yes, no texture for now, it's far from being fully operational. If you don't knwow what you are doing, don't mess up with it and wait for the release. Edited November 21, 2011 by Gilead Maerlyn
TwiggySkyrim
Any ideas? It won't render textures on Skyrim nifs because it can't yet. it can render UVW templates perfectly though so the UV coordinates must be intact in there somewhere. Ghogiel
even so, the shader block, where the textures are plugged in so to speak, and the renderer aren't friends yet.
