hoofhearted4
StarCraft 2. ive gotten tons of hours just from the campaign alone. once i beat it on normal and hard, i went through and had fun with cheat code. plus there is the online multiplayer, both vs other player or custom maps (where i spend all my time. dont care for playing against others. my playstyle doesnt go well online, and if i cant play that way, its not fun for me) and of course you can just play against the AI. Dragon Age Origins. it takes me roughly 60 hours per full playthrough. i played through 3 full times, twice normal and once with mods (which was 40 hours) and quite a few partial play throughs. Torchlight, very very similar to Diablo, tons and tons of fun. there are mods for it as well, though i never tried them out Mass Effects. both games are great. never played ME1 (just going off popular opinion), but i played ME2 four times through, so it can really suck up lots of time if you like it. its a shooter, but its also an RPG and an RTS, in the sense that you have to make real time decisions and use your abilities on the spot, and on the more difficult levels, esp insane, making use of your abilities is crucial. the Warhammer 40k RTSs are pretty fun. i have Dawn of War, kind of gone in and out of it, but if you find it cheap on Steam, give it a try. Nexus has a new site for Dungeon Defenders, i tried the Demo and it was really fun. its a cross between a Tower Defense and a 3rd person RPG. great concept and yea. im in the Beta for SWTOR, i can tell you its a ton o fun, so keep an eye out for that next month. and thats all i can think of atm. Eneishi
For RPGs, I suggest the Neverwinter Nights series and, even better, Planescape: Torment. I thought Baldur's Gate was epic but frankly, PS:T is one of the best RPGs I've ever played. Other ones I've liked, in no particular order: Torchlight, Titan Quest, The Witcher series, Thief and probably loads more I can't recall at the moment. Any ideas where to get the old school Thief? You can order a Thief Collection bundle "The Dark Project, The Metal Age II, and Deadly Shadows III" for around $13 new from Amazon.com. That a pretty low price :).http://www.amazon.com/THIEF-Collection-Project-Deadly-Shadows-Pc/dp/B0011EA24I/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1322252927&sr=1-
Fnixer
I'm posting this because I am in need of a new game to play! I've run out of ideas of what new game to start and I'm hoping you all could give me some advice. I've played games from Morrowind to Skyrim. Fallout 3 and NV. WoW to Diablo 2.My favorites are The Elder Scrolls series, and The Baulders Gate series. I'm very into RPG type games... not so much into shooters. Even strategy is good. I've played from Age of Empires 1, 2, and 3 to Civilization 4-5. I'm kind of looking for something that is time consuming, and will hold my attention. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Mount&blade Warband, a real adictive game, and if you get tired of Native, there is close to thousands of mods ^^
Thor.
Get Skyrim or the Borderlands 2, great rpg-shooter there http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif
hoofhearted4
Guild Wars 2. amazing MMORPG. once you buy the game ($60) its free. no subscription and no stupid F2P rules like buy till you win or F2P ge tless then subs. there is no subs, so there is no division. highly recommend this game also Torchlight 2. havent gotten much into it as ive been playing GW2, but at $20 its a steal of a game i would say Borderlands 2 as well. ive only gotten to level 20 in it, again as ive been playing GW2 mostly, but Borderlands 1 was amazing, and so far i can only say good things about Borderlands 2. TheReverendTholomewPlague
Ugh, please don't use the words 'Game Freak', it's a term invented to demean us :(
ziitch
"Game freak" reminds me more of Pokemon, actually. (As in Game Freak, the developer) You might try S.T.A.L.K.E.R if you haven't yet. And if you like Age of Empires, look around for Rise of Nations, which basically uses the same AoE system give or take some things removed.
