bben46
Please do not post the original TesV.exe here. That is a copyrighted file and is not allowed on The Nexus for LEGAL reasons. We have already removed a dozen copies here. and banned several people for posting it. I believe it was Steam and not Bethsoft that created this gamebreaking patch. :wallbash:Bben46, Moderator

djnicfit
This helped me getting the TESV.exe file back: (only if you bought a disk) 1) insert disk2) click reinstall3) And there it is! This did nothing for me. But got to keep all my saves and game. Verifying the cache worked for me! Thanks!!! Did nothing for me But my problem is that I bought a Logitech F310 controller and it asks me to "select game" to modify the control and you must have and EXE file...... WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO THE EXE? Is it the consensus that it is gone through updates? So I bought a controller and now I cannot use it?

Bretomage
I had the same problem but just found a fix, read it on the steam forums: 1. Right click on the game in your steam library2. Go to properties3. Go to Local files4. Click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache It will update and then the game runs fine, at least it did for me. Hope that helps! :)I also had that launcher-loop problem. Yeah, that worked BUT this also reseted my INI-file which a had tweaked so very much and carefully! SO, BACKUP YOUR CUSTOM INI BEFORE DOING ANYTHING LIKE THAT! Edited March 29, 2012 by Bretomage
