abaris
One of the things that also bother me is not having any recognition from anyone... Like the thieves guild for instance, what respect and recognition do you get from the members now that your the leader? Or just being dragonborn. It's not a big issue, but still really gets to me sometimes.Quite to the contrary, as far as immersion goes that is a HUGE issue! My biggest issue. And not just with Skyrim, but since Morrowind. hejpadig
Yes, I find it a great game, but I have major complains. - The AI is the same level as Oblivion and not a step ahead, at all. If a thief runns around in Riverwood and everyone is chasing him. Then he enters the Inn and suddenly everyone forget what they were doing. He just stands in a corner shouting random things. If you are like one quest away from becoming the leader of the Thieves Guild, the bald guy with the redneck accent still says "So Brynjolf just plucked you off the street..." - All the NPCs are stupid. If you are supposed to follow one, they always stop if you run past them, then if you run back to them they say their scripted lines that make no sense whatsoever, and finally they will keep on running. - There are still few armors and clothes in the game. It gets boring with the same old, same old. A total of maybe 15 different clothes and then we have the boring armors. - The new level system is ridiculous. If you sell an item, you are still able to gain your main level. Which is just so dumb. You should be able to pick around 8 skills which are your major skills = general level improvement. - The Main Quest. If you are an Argonian, a Wood Elf or any other race than Nord, it makes no sense whatsoever. - The Children all sound the same and look the same. How hard is it to pick 10 child voice actors? They are just stupid and annoying. - The Npc Lines. They all repeat stupid lines and they are annoying just like Oblivion. You still hear that they have like 30 Voice actors, I keep hearing the same ones. I can't believe they have so many they said. marharth
- The Main Quest. If you are an Argonian, a Wood Elf or any other race than Nord, it makes no sense whatsoever. Something I forgot to mention, thanks for bringing that up. I play as a argonian. I always have. Now when I got into windhelm a NPC asked me if I believed in Nord supremacy. Being a argonian I sarcastically replied that I did. Every time I talk to him he says "I don't have time for a Nord who thinks he is better then everyone else" Daf*#@? The game kind of assumes you are a Nord. It is completely retarded imo.

Wow! f***ing awesome :D The problem is that when I tried to kill the dude because of him being an ass, I couldn't, because he was unkillable. Pineapplerum
I think because like Oblivion, a lot of the places just look the same. The dungeons, Inns, etc... they're pretty much all just cookie cut out and when you go to a new location, it doesn't feel new, it feels like you've already been there before only it had a different name.I think that may have something to do with it, too. I just wish I could walk into a dungeon every once in awhile and be surprised by what's in it instead of pretty much being able to guess what's around every corner and what it will look like. And I really, really miss the Ayleid Ruins. I keep hoping I'll run into an old Ayleid ruin. That would make me super happy.
raatorotta
I have thought about keeping a break from skyrim. I am in a point where you have fun with messing around with console commands to test things, creating battles between actors, changing things around and putting different effects on actors, mainly the things you should do with CK!Completing main quest, civil war, dark brotherhood and companions is done. Well i'm stuck in college quest i can't figure out, but i don't like to be mage anyway. And then there is thieves guild. Well, thats the one that may still keep me playing for while. marharth
Well Skyrim does have fairly unquine dungeons. I ran into a friendly hargraven just randomly exploring, had to take over a tower. Random events and scripted non quest things in dungeons does make a big difference. Also traps are a lot better. I have to say the dart/arrow traps don't seem to do anything at all. Is it just the poison that does damage? Caves seem different everytime. Not sure why, but I don't have the feeling they are all the same like in Oblivion. I don't really like the dwenmer ruins though honestly. I liked the Alyeid ruins in Oblivion more. Not sure what it is about the dwenmer ruins that I don't like though. The Dwenmer ruins look too new and they are far too well lit, Morrowinds were far better, they were actually slightly eerie.
