o0o recon o0o
I felt that since I found out how to do it id share it with people who just cant get the hang of it. The video itself isn't amazing but it tells you what to do and what's needed. Id recommend watching it on youtube itself for viewing purposes and download links in description. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSXPxRD1cN0 Edited November 22, 2011 by o0o recon o0o

eagle52361
Thank you much for the tut, but would you happen to know why some of the color maps come up like this by chance? could it be gimp or anything like that, because there are some textures that come up like the one in your vid or is the map doing something else that the texture is doing in-game that I might be unaware of?http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i463/eaglechief4321/Alduin.jpg

All i can think of is either that the File you opened had a _n or _m at the end which is not the one you want to open or that there is something wrong with the alpha channel or the way the file was opened. Have no clue tbh with GIMP sorry. Edited November 23, 2011 by o0o recon o0o

masterthief300
Thanks...though I think this would be much more useful without the music, and with you explaining what you're doing in its place.
TheMuffinMan420
Thanks...though I think this would be much more useful without the music, and with you explaining what you're doing in its place. I agree 100%. I muted the video, but had to pause and re-read what you typed out multiple times... I'd suggest verbal explanation instead. Otherwise great tutorial! Aikospacerogue
@eagle52361 give it a black background layer, copy the layer with the textures and paste it above the other, merge the 2 layers , rinse and repeat until you get something you can work with. I can't find the vid that showed it it soz, but it happens apparently.
