Custom Texture Video Tutorial

I felt that since I found out how to do it id share it with people who just cant get the hang of it. The video itself isn't amazing but it tells you what to do and what's needed.

 

Id recommend watching it on youtube itself for viewing purposes and download links in description.

Thank you much for the tut, but would you happen to know why some of the color maps come up like this by chance? could it be gimp or anything like that, because there are some textures that come up like the one in your vid or is the map doing something else that the texture is doing in-game that I might be unaware of?

All i can think of is either that the File you opened had a _n or _m at the end which is not the one you want to open or that there is something wrong with the alpha channel or the way the file was opened. Have no clue tbh with GIMP sorry.

give it a black background layer, copy the layer with the textures and paste it above the other, merge the 2 layers , rinse and repeat until you get something you can work with. I can't find the vid that showed it it soz, but it happens apparently.
