moho25 Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 I see there's still no official announcement from BioWare about BSN non-forum content. Sigh.
Tarshana Posted August 8, 2016 Author Posted August 8, 2016 Mohofish; It's frankly disrespectful I feel :( Creeper; I was able to download 55gigs 3hr. I would have done more but my GM came in and he got side tracked by discussing ME2 with me (lol) and we had to do system restarts with our new software platform. Starting it up again :)
CreeperLava Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 That's pretty damn better than what I get. I'm at 200 GB, you'll catch up fast if you can run it 24/24.
Tarshana Posted August 8, 2016 Author Posted August 8, 2016 I wish I could run it that long. My work days are 12 hours, but 6 are in the office and the other 6 I'm at home ushering emails as needed. My billing cycle ends in two days so I can get back to downloading more stuff :)
CreeperLava Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 (edited) You can't leave your computer on when you're not there ? Edited August 9, 2016 by CreeperLava
Tarshana Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 No :( My work computer is a laptop for when I go home to finish up the work day or when I need to travel. I don't ever leave it anywhere, it's like a little mechanical babby xD Part of my job is translations, so while I'm at work it's managing the pharmacy, but when I get home, even though I am working, it is translating RX's for our patients, communicating overseas and responding to emergency questions.
CreeperLava Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I see, not sure how well HTTrack can do with constant interruptions. Worth a try though :).
Thandal Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 As promised, here's the reply I received from BioWare in response to my query about archiving the BSN Projects: Sent Yesterday, 1:31 PM We're looking into what we will be able to do to help saving projects. I'm afraid I don't have any more information at this time, but we will update you when we know more. So... at least they acknowledge the need to do something. That's a good sign, yes?! :geek:
Tarshana Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 I've had numerous interruptions with HtTrack, it just picks up where it left off. Thandal, it's good you reached someone :) Even if they do acknowledge they need to do something I will not trust them to be able to. A company as large as EA/BW should have been prepared a month previous to an announcement such as this. Better safe than sorry, right? :)
CreeperLava Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 The fact that we, as outsiders, are backuping their own stuff faster than they are, is not a good sign^^.
